I received my VCP6-DCV certification in March of 2017I have completed multiple implementations of VMware
vSphere that ranged from basic 3 host deployments to more
complex 15 host deployments.
All of the deployments were completed with builds of the
host servers via iDrac or iLO management cards, storage
networking, VM networking, Virtual Center deployment and
configuration, HA cluster configuration, DRS configuration,
DPM configuration and failure testing.
I have experience troubleshooting ESXi servers from the
command line via an ssh session. This was usually required
to restart management agents but I’ve also used it for
troubleshooting storage issues which has sometimes
resulted in the need to edit the storage networking from
the command line.
I have deployed All Flash vSAN environments as a replacement
storage system for traditional iSCSI SAN infrastructure.
Utilising the Erasure Coding to provide 2 host failure
tolerance in a six node cluster at just 50% storage overhead.
I have deployed vSphere SRM in 2 environments utilising array based replication to protect 100 machines in a cross site environment. I have also been involved in the DR testing of these protected services by initiating, troubleshooting and cleanup of the SRM plans.
I have experience managing VMware Horizon View environments. Maintaining the Parent Virtual Machine and monitoring host utilisation to gauge the total machines available to run on an environment.
I received my CCNA certification in October 2019I have completed multiple installations of individual and stacked switches. Both in greenfield installations and as part of infrastructure refresh projects.
I have completed installations and replacements of ASA Firewalls, as well as rule transfers from Cisco and Juniper firewalls
I have experience implementing replications across multiple partners and utilising snapshot schedules to provide additional data protection
I have completed several implementations of MD3200i’s primarily as shared storage for VMware implementations and managing them with the Modular Disk Storage Management client.
I have completed 2 implementations of the Compellent SC8000 array with tiered storage using Fibre Channel connections and iSCSI as shared storage for VMware implementations.
